I'd like to begin a series of remembering my kids as they're little. I'm not sure how often I'll do it. Maybe once a month, every 6 months or just as I feel led but these times go by so fast that I don't want to forget what they were like at this age.
Ellie is the spunky 3 year old who is very unpredictable. One moment she's all smiles but push her buttons the wrong way and she turns on you unexpectedly. She loves playing dress up and being a princess but also loves the outdoors and getting dirty. The perfect mix if you ask me! :) I love watching her little imagination begin to bud as she's playing with her toys and hearing the conversations she makes up with them. I'll have to get it on video some time. She's very strong willed and can be pretty stubborn. She's usually really outgoing and loves to talk to people and she's really taken an interest to learn about Jesus, who He is and what He's done for us. She is constantly talking about Jesus on the cross which is awesome!
Macy is 20 months. I can't believe she'll be 2 in February! She is gentle hearted and the lover. She loves giving hugs & kisses, especially with me. Lately she has become pretty social with people from modeling her big sis. She's also picked up some of Ellie's bad antics and gets an attitude when she doesn't want something so we're working on that ;) This girl loves to eat and she gets so excited when meal times come. She'll stand at her high chair either singing or doing a happy dance because she knows food is coming. Her nose is also continuing to shrink!! For those who don't know, a month or so after she was born, we noticed that her nose was turning really blue and was getting big. Turns out she had a hemangioma which is a benign tumor. We met with a plastic surgeon and he suggested to not take any action right away but to watch it to see if it would shrink down. With prayer & time, her nose has gotten much smaller and we're thankful we won't have to take any action to remove the tumor!
I love these little girls. They challenge and test me beyond words but they also light up my life and I'm so thankful for them!
