Experiment

I'll be honest, my eating habits are horrible. What I feed the girls most of the time isn't the best of stuff either. While it's not pop & ice cream, it's still a lot of processed foods, most meals containing noodles, barely any veggies, etc. Not to mention that we go through 4 gallons of milk in a week. I'm on a quest to eat healthier.

After reading about microwaves and the risks they pose, not to mention how they totally destroy the food you're 'heating' up, I began questioning our microwave usage. We used it for literally everything. One week, I decided to try going a few days without using our microwave. Surprisingly, I did fairly well without it. It did take way longer to make meals but I got used to it pretty quick. My in-laws came into town for a visit a week later and my mother-in-law went to heat up something in the microwave when it suddenly stopped working. It was a brand new microwave, only 2 months old. I took that as a sign from God that yes indeed, it's time to get rid of it. And hey, I survived! :)

If you read my post about the idea of living in a tent, you'd know that we most likely wouldn't have a refrigerator. As it is now, we couldn't go without a fridge solely because of our eating habits. I'm looking to completely change the way we eat and see if I can do it without using a fridge. If we end up doing the tent idea, it's best to get a good head start on changing our eating habits now and practice going without a fridge. This is where help from YOU comes in!

I'm looking for recipes that would fit the 'camping' lifestyle. A very primal way of eating, mostly veggies and fruits and most likely dried meat. Everything I find on the internet has lists of Primal foods but no recipes. I'm new to this kinda stuff so I need all the help I can get ;) Does anyone have any recipes that they could share to help me out?
