Beautiful are the feet

 

"How Beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news."

Romans 10:15

I have this verse written on a big chalkboard sign in my dining room. Every day I look at it and read it to myself, thinking about what it means. Today it just hit me. So simple, but so powerful. I don't picture in my mind beautiful feet. I see dirty, tired, beat up and worn out feet. Feet that have traveled places and have been through the muck. And because of this, I realize, it's beautiful. It's beautiful because it means those feet have been places and have walked and endured hardships all to tell the story of my Savior and to give people a hope, that is Jesus Christ. I pray the Lord will guide my steps and let me be a light in a darkened world. That He would send me to the down and outs to bring the joy of knowing Jesus to a hopeless generation. I want to live to make Him known.
