There have been a few exciting things going on lately. First of all, we haven't had to buy ice for our cooler for 2 weeks since it's been so cold. Pretty neat right? ;) We've survived living out of a cooler now for over a month. Tent planning has been put on bit of a hold right now since we've had some new opportunities come up.
A few weeks ago, my husband was approached and He & I were given the opportunity to go to India in January for 3 weeks. In Northern India, there is a ritual that takes place at the Ganges River where an estimated 80 million(!!!) people throughout the month come and bath in the river to be forgiven. It's the largest gathering of humans in the world! Many of these people have never heard about Jesus and they don't know the gospel. Beau, myself and 3 others have the privilege of partnering up with a church in India to bring the gospel to them. To say that I'm intimidated is an understatement as this is such a huge opportunity. And it definitely is an answer to our prayers: that God would send us out to make Him known.
SO, we're going to India! We've already begun preparations by getting our passports and of course, I was sick when I had my new passport picture taken so I look like death in my photo :P There's a mix of emotions going on. I'm excited to go as it's been almost 6 years since I've traveled overseas to Asia. I'm not so excited however to be away from the girls for 3 whole weeks. The longest I've been away from them was about 2 days so I know that will probably be the hardest thing for me. I so wish we could take them with :)
Anyway so that's Part 1 of the things that's been set before us. Another huge opportunity is in front of us that I'll talk about soon! :) In the meantime, please keep us in your prayers as we get ready to go to India in January. Pray for peace of mind, that everything goes smoothly in getting everything we need together, that the funds we need for the flight would come through and most importantly that the gospel would be preached and heard and taken to heart by the people we come into contact with. Thank y'all! God bless :)
