Reflections

This day, 4 years ago, I walked down the aisle to meet my soon-to-be husband. It's amazing how life before marriage almost seems like a blur and you can't remember what it was like to NOT have your spouse. It seems like we've always been together :) We've been through a lot in our 4 years of marriage, just as any couple has, I'm sure. God has been Sovereign over all and continues to lead us in His will. From moving to Texas 2 days after we got married, then back to Washington, to 4 different homes, then here to Colorado, We've felt God's presence always with us and guiding our steps. Just when we thought we wanted to settle into a home with our family, God uprooted every thought & desire of settling and birthed a fresh vision in us to travel. We've always wanted and liked the idea of traveling but having a family began to choke those desires a bit and we were settling into a routine of having a career and me the role of being a housewife. After we began renting out a house with the consideration of buying it, God began to stir something within us and we knew we couldn't settle. Thus, the name change of this blog: Matzat Nomadic. We're born travelers, nomads, whatever you want to call us. We knew we couldn't play the game of life by living the 'american dream' with a steady career and me just being home with the girls. That's when God called us to move to Colorado for Beau to attend a ministry school called Ellerslie, which I wouldn't necessarily call it a bible college.. just pure, radical, christianity. Exactly what we were hungering for. We are eager & expectant for what God wants us to do next after this season. I'll share more in my next post about what we've been just recently thinking about doing. Stay tuned ;)

  2. This inspires me to continue to seek the LORD in order for Him to write our story in for His purpose and His glory. Well written babe; you should start journaling and keeping a written log in order to possible write a book one day soon! I love you babe!
