Anyway,
The count down has really begun now! Not that I haven't been counting down already... but now it's really, REALLY begun! It's Feb 1st & I have 19 more days til my due date! Macy Claire will be here very very soon! I'm excited to meet her & have a newborn around again. And I'm nervous of how I'm going to adjust to having two little's around the house! I think Ellie is going to be a great big sister, she already kisses my tummy (without me asking or provoking her to) and will try to 'feed' Macy with her snacks haha.
Any moms with kids close in age (under 2 yrs apart) have any advice for this rookie?? I'd love any suggestions that may help me out! :)
I obviously don't have any children. So, my advice may not be accepted I know that! lol. I have nannied children that close in age, and have done a lot of research on children. I think one pretty simple thing is just to help Ellie adjust, to have her help with the new baby as much as possible. Get things for you, help feed the baby, etc. Also, to make sure you still make some time for just Ellie. She is used to having all of mom's attention, and may act out trying to get it. Giving her special time and making her a part of the whole venture should hopefully be beneficial! So excited for you!! And in a few months I would love to baby sit for you!!! <3
